Yakima Valley Residents Wanted for Dog Sleepovers
Need a cuddle buddy or would you like to try one and see if it’s something you’d like on a more permanent basis? The fine folks and furry friends at the Yakima Humane Society has a special treat for you (although it’s really for the animals). We have the details below!
Yakima Valley Sleepovers Wanted!
The Yakima Humane Society posted an adorable picture with a heartbreaking request to give the shelter pups a break.

“Help one of our dogs take a break from shelter life by taking them for a sleepover! A sleepover gives our dogs a chance to relax in a home environment while they wait for their forever families—and it also helps us learn more about how they do in real-life settings.” - YHS Facebook
Not only is this a great opportunity for the dog to get a little vacation, but with the feedback that you can give to the Yakima Humane Society, it can help future adopters find their perfect match.
Iggy (pictured above in the heart pajamas) is just one of the many pets that would love to have a sleepover for a night, or two, or even longer.
Rusty The Bed Buddy
My little buddy Rusty just turned 15 years old a few days ago, and can be a bed hog even though he’s so little, but to tell you the truth, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Not only is he a furry little bundle of warmth, but having a pet sleeping in the same room as you (whether you allow them on the furniture or not) gives you a bit more peace when sleeping, knowing you have a four-legged alarm system right there that’ll alert you if anything is wrong.
