Collective Soul is rockin' across two countries (the United States and New Zealand) with their 30th Anniversary Tour! One of their first stops on this massive undertaking was in Toppenish, at Legends Casino Hotel this past Thursday night (January 18th, 2024).

For those of us who couldn't make it, for one reason or another, one mega fan of Collective Soul braved the snow and made the trek to Legends to rock out with a band that he's loved since he was in grade school (yeah, I went to school with this guy, and he rocked Collective Soul swag before swag was a word).

When my friend, Russell Carlson, posted pictures of himself and his wife Emily at the show, I reached out and asked him to give us a little Concert Report, and he delivered!

If Grandma hats are your thing you were at the right concert to watch Collective Soul. If not, no worries, the hat came off quicker than a knife fight in a phone booth.

The Collective Soul concert at Legends Casino was packed, despite heavy snow fall and poor road conditions. What a testament to a band that is kicking off their 30 year anniversary!!!! The concert was filled with nostalgic songs that helped this band from Atlanta, Georgia get started like "Shine" and "Gel" to 2 still unreleased songs that will come out on their double album release in April. Collective Soul even did a tribute to R.E.M. and spoke of how they were inspired by R.E.M. and played a cover of "The One I Love".

Despite some obvious age on the band members, they still knew how to rock, have a good time, and get the crowd involved (even if I forgot to bring underwear to throw on stage).
