5 Key Seahawks That Need to Kick Butt in 2021 Season
Sure, football is a team game. Maybe the ultimate team game. 10 guys on offense can execute perfectly but if one guy doesn't effectively block his man the entire play can be blown-up in an instant.
On defense, 10 guys can shed their blocks, put pressure on the passer but if a defensive back let's his man get behind him... Well, that 6 points the other way.
That said, there are certain players on every team that have more expectations on them that others. The 2021 version of the Seattle Seahawks are no different.
Who are the 5 most important players for the Seahawks in 2021?
Before we get to that, a couple of Hawks that just missed this list.
The first is Running Back Cris Carson. After coming off of an injury-plagued 2020 campaign that saw his season get cut short and force the Seahawks to run the ball by committee, Carson must return to form to take pressure off of Russell Wilson to have to try and do everything.
The second is Wide Receiver D.K. Metcalf. Metcalf has flourished in his two NFL seasons catching over 140 passes for 17 touchdowns. He cannot afford to regress this year or teams can go back to just trying to stop Tyler Lockett.
