We stumbled across a Reddit sub thread comment that said, "It drives me crazy that the N and W don't correspond to the cardinal directions on the arrow correctly." Well, I'll be darned, they are right and I never gave it one thought because I don't think about stuff like that. Living in the Pacific Northwest means you sometimes have a nonchalant, carefree attitude when it comes to things like, DIRECTIONS, and LOGIC. That's one way how you can tell if someone is from Washington state without them actually saying it.

Fortunately, there are a few things we can collectively agree on as the people of Washington state. Like avoiding I-82 East on Friday nights/I-82 West on Sunday nights between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. (How could you not know that traffic in these directions will be a complete parking lot. You might as well WALK back home, you'd get there faster.) We can also agree that Starbucks is not the preferred coffee of people living in Washington, that is a touristy stereotype.

Here are some other signs that pretty much show us that you are also from Washington without having to tell us you're from Washington. I've counted 8 of them so far.

1 . You have a tattoo of the P/N/W/ arrow or have the bumper sticker on your car.

2 . You wonder how bad I-82 is going to be when you head over the pass, no matter the season!

3 . You know what Fry Bread is and where you can get some!

4 . You are scared to use an umbrella, especially in Seattle.

5 . You booed Russell Wilson when he came back to Lumen Field playing for the Broncos.

6 . You are snooty about your preference for wine and/or beer.

7 . You threw your head back and laughed when this guy claimed there is a “Spokane- Style” pizza.

8 . Your friends and family force you to take sides in the Apple Cup even if you never went to University of Washington or Washington State University.
