The Yakima Valley is filled with exceptional talent, but whenever one of our own can make it in Hollywood, it is something to be cheered for! Then when she gets a spot in outer space on one of the best sci-fi shows of this generation, it's a feat that should be celebrated!

Yakima native Adele Shepherd has done just that! Starting her dance and performing arts training at 3 years old, Adele took her ballerina lessons to the next level when she was discovered and put into the 2020 short film "A Summoning…" by rock band My Chemical Romance.

Shepherd has taken on roles in various TV shows, including "Fight Night" for Crypt TV and Nurse Flynn in "5150". Most notably for her role as Ensign Kemi on "Star Trek: Picard", where she stared alongside Sir Patrick Stewart!

Shepherd is returning home and making a public appearance for a meet and greet this Saturday, July 29th, at 1 pm at Ron's Coins & Collectibles at 6 N 3rd St, in Yakima.
