Artist Selling Sculpture of Human Foreskin to Bring Awareness to the Custom of Circumcision [VIDEO]

An Italian artist is trying to crowd-source funding through a Kickstarter campaign (who isn't these days?) to create awareness of what he calls the true cost of circumcision.

For $1,000, you can get a very lifelike adult human foreskin sculpture comprised of soft, squishy pink silcone that is pressed between two pieces of glass and is about the size of an iPhone 5s. The sculpture has been titled "HUFO," short for HUman FOreskin. The money generated will not only pay for the "artwork" but also help artist Vincenzo Aiello bring awareness to a practice he deems as unnecessary and borders on barbaric as well as fund stem-cell technology to regrow foreskins in those who wish to have theirs once again.

Aeillo says of circumcision: "Every other surgery in Western medicine requires both compelling and urgent medical reasons to perform without consent. Unfortunately there is not a single one.”
