The phrase "as soon as we're past the coronavirus pandemic" is beginning to sound akin to saying "when I finally hit the lottery." That said, the Downtown Association of Yakima is working hard to come up with creative ways to offer assistance to businesses in the Yakima core to help them stay afloat while we work on getting to Phase 2.

Their latest brainchild could use your help and you just might score a free $25 gift card or a 10% discount at participating stores, restaurants, etc.! Simply purchase a #YakimaStrong facemask and send in a photo of you rocking it to admin@downtownyakima.com or to their Facebook page by August 5th. All photos will be uploaded to their Facebook page the following Friday by 5pm. The top four photos with the most likes by Aug. 10th at 5 p.m. will each win a $25 gift card to a Downtown Yakima business of their choice.

Further, if you wear your mask to any one of the participating businesses, you will get a 10% discount on your purchase!

Participating business include:
Single Hill Brewery
2nd Street Grill
Erik's - The Mercedes Kid
The Little Soap Maker
Fosseen's Home & Hearth
El Taco Loco
Gunslingers
Vintage Me
EZ Tiger
Flippers Antiques

To buy your own #YakimaStrong facemask, stop by the DAY office at 14 S. 1st St. between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, or at the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in front of the historic Capitol Theatre.
