Central Washington faves Cobrahawk have just released the first single from their forthcoming second album of all-original tunes and could use your help!

The project, over a year in the making and follow-up to their debut album "Vindictive", is titled "Excuses, Excuses" and is basically "in the can". This is where the helping hand is needed. From their Kickstarter.com fundraising page:

"Releasing a full album completely DIY is no small task. Your funding will be used exclusively to pay for the production and promotional costs of our new album. We have costs of hiring an engineer to mix our record, artist to create album artwork, cinematographer to film music videos, as well as the cost of fulfilling the perks in this campaign. We also need to advertise, so this album can reach as many ears as possible. We are very proud of these songs and are so excited to get back on the road and see you all again!"

The five-piece band, formed originally in 2013, consists of Lakyn Bury (Vocals), Devin Duncan (Guitar), Kyle Bain (Guitar), Matt Carstens (Bass) and Nat Nickel (Drums).

Personally, I have seen a metric ass-ton of bands out of Yakima and Central Washington in my 30+ years in the radio industry and, pound for pound, Cobrahawk brings an infectious sound and stage presence unlike just about anyone I have ever seen and are easily the most professional in all of their efforts.

Check out the video for the first single "Get On Your Knees" and then consider chipping in to help support a swell group of home-grown musicians and entertainers. The Kickstarter campaign includes a number of unique goodies to incentivize you!

The band will be hosting a watch party tonight (July 8) on their official Facebook page to unveil some of the new songs and discuss the campaign.
