As far as helping your community? Well, that’s where the Meds part comes into play.

You can turn in your unused, expired prescription medication for safe disposal, keeping it out of the hands of children or other people who would seek to abuse it.

This is a great service offered throughout the year, and the next big one is coming up on Saturday, October 26th!

Hosted by Safe Yakima Valley, building safe communities neighbor by neighbor.

The Shreds & Meds event will be at El Triunfo Event Center at 115 Ash Street in Grandview (the old Bank of America building) from 10 am to 1 pm.

How Much Can I Bring To The Shreds & Meds Event?

There is no limit when it comes to the medication you wish to turn in.

Regarding the shreds, Safe Yakima Valley is limited to 1 shred truck, so when it fills up, no more shreds will be able to be taken in. So get there early.

As a bonus to the Grandview Shreds & Meds Event, in collaboration with the Yakima Health District and Grandview Police Department, 100 FREE gun trigger locks and 100 FREE firearm lock boxes will be given away (while supplies last).
