I don’t know about you, but usually around Christmas time, my disappointment comes after Christmas, not before it.

Okay, I’m joking. I’ve been very blessed throughout my life with amazing Christmas celebrations.

Even the year I didn’t get the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s Technodrome playset. That one sticks with me.

But no, this year, I’m a little bummed because I just found out that a new nerdy ornament meant for my tree needs to be returned back to the store.

I haven’t been this disappointed since re-watching the Star Wars Holiday Special!

You could say that ‘the force is not strong with this one.

Hallmark is recalling one of their latest Star Wars Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Tree Ornaments.

The one in question is of the character Cad Bane, as seen in Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett.

When I first heard about this recall, I was expecting small parts that could be swallowed, but I was quite surprised by the reasoning and the potential seriousness of the recall.

MOLD!

Star Wars Christmas Ornament Recall Information!

According to the Press Release from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the ornaments were painted and packaged before given enough time to dry.

“The brown paint on the exterior of the recalled Christmas tree ornaments did not fully dry before packaging, causing mold to grow on the exterior surface of the ornament, posing risk of respiratory issues to consumers due to mold exposure.” – CPSC.GOV

Anyone who has messed with mold, especially black mold, knows it’s not something to take lightly.

If you purchased the item, you are advised to return it to the place of purchase or visit Hallmark.com for return and refund information.
