So a while ago, I was visiting my local Safeway. As I pulled into my parking spot, some guy, who I’m sure was overcompensating for something, pulled right by me and parked his truck. He was already going way too fast for this or any parking lot. The way he parked, I figured, alright, maybe he’s older; he’s pulling (almost) into a handicapped space. The young man hopped out of his truck and went into shop. Nope, not elderly, just kind of @$$hole on the asphalt.

Maybe I’m a magnet for bad parkers, or perhaps I’m just observant. My last job was as a medical courier, so I was trained to always be aware and watch in every direction I traveled. The last time I was in Moxee, I spotted this driver/parker (pictured below). Now, I will give them credit for not taking the handicapped spot. That was nice of them. But, if only their niceness could be a little more parallel in their make-believe spot. That might help other drivers get around them easier. Let alone someone actually needing to use the handicapped spot available.

This next one (below) almost caused a few wrecks right in front of me. I understand people who need to tow trailers. But usually, they’re smart enough to park in a spot away from everyone else. Not right in the middle of the parking stalls, next to a handicapped spot.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
