Despite an dreadful and disappointing loss to the weaker Arizona Cardinals on their home field Sunday (12/22), the Seattle Seahawks can still be the top seed in the NFC heading in to the playoffs.

Obviously, Seattle needs to win on the final regular season game in the NFL in front of a national TV audience next Sunday night at CenturyLink Field. Then they need some help. They would need the New Orleans Saints lose to the Panthers (not likely) in Week 17 while the Packers go 1-1 to close out their schedule. Green Bay plays Minnesota on Monday Night Football tonight. If that happens, Seattle would have a three-way, 12-4 tie at the top of the conference and would beat out the Packers (based on the common games tiebreaker) and Saints (based on the conference games tiebreaker). If the Saints win, the Hawks can still get a first round bye and the #2 seed with a win vs. San Fran and Green Bay losing one of their last two.
