Idaho Hiker Reports Bigfoot Sighting Near Boise

With summer upon us, many people are getting back into nature. Hitting the mountains, going camping, taking hikes. Just be careful where that trail you’re following takes you, because you might end up like one hiker in Idaho and stumble upon a Sasquatch!

The Bigfoot Of Boise

On the morning of Saturday, June 13th, in the Deadwood Reservoir of the Boise National Forest, Donny Schmidt was up and hiking and saw something that changed his skeptical mind.

Bigfoot is relaxing by a car in the woods.

Reporting his encounter to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, Schmidt reported movement on a hill around 60 to 70 yards away.

He expected to see a mountain lion or a bear (which he had witnessed many times); he saw something he wasn’t expecting, as the animal stood up on two legs and looked towards him before wandering back up the hill and disappearing after 20 seconds.

“What I saw was not a bear or any other animal I recognize. I wasn’t afraid, but I was uncertain and confused.”

Included in Schmidt’s report was how the creature stood between 5 and 6 feet tall and had long reddish hair that covered its entire body and face. Longer arms and legs, disproportionate to its torso.

What Do I and You Think About Bigfoot?

I’ve experienced many things I can’t explain in my life, including a recent experience here at our Yakima, Washington radio station, but I’ve never seen a Bigfoot. I believe they exist, but I’m not sure I’d want to meet one.

I’m more likely to believe that they’d be more aggressive and wild rather than the Bigfoot and Sasquatches that we’ve seen selling beef jerky, playing saxophone, and starring in movies and TV shows (Harry and the Hendersons).
