I've had many shortcomings as a citizen. I can count on one hand how many times I've left a penny at the gas station, I've yet to participate in jury duty (the one summons I got fell around Christmas), and I've never attended a city council meeting. I need to be better, and Ander Christensen (no relation to me) would probably tell me the best way to enact change in my community is to attend public forums and make my case.

Christensen made an emphatic plea for justice at a city council meeting in his hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. He wanted his community to rise up and set an example for the rest of the nation. His message? Stop lying to yourself and your children and be honest about the harsh truths of boneless chicken wings. In an emotional lecture that ended with rousing applause, he pointed out that boneless chicken wings aren't even wings at all. They're chicken breast meat, no different than a tender. Call them what they are, he says, like "saucy nugs" or more appropriately; "trash." Be the change you want to see in the world.

You're an inspiration, Ander. My only question is was his father, who is on the council, in on it?
