This past year has been one for the books. As an adult, my mood has been all over the place so I can't imagine how families are dealing with the ups and downs, helping their kids more than ever with school work that even they struggle to find the answers to.

If you weren't aware most everyone will be attending classes again come Monday, March 15th, 2021 so THANKFULLY tonight at 7 pm - 8:30 pm NAMI or the National Alliance for Mental Illness will be hosting their weekly family support group via zoom. It's been going on since December and you can join any week but this one for sure will be a great way to ease some of the tension and unknown anxiety.

Having attended some in-person support groups in the past this is the perfect way to feel heard, supported and empowered. You are not alone when it comes to wanting to pull your hair out. Hope for the best with the tools you've been given and to basically be questioning everything.

The weight of the World doesn't have to be on only your shoulders. Allow NAMI to carry some of the burdens and answer the questions you didn't even realize have been rolling around in your head. Together you and the rest of the group can define your feelings and come up with a game plan to not lose them in times of uncertainty. Sorry, I tried not to use any of the typical Covid-19 terms but here we are in unchartered territory. Dang! I did it again.

Register yourself for the zoom and let your friends know so you and they know, you're not alone.

Here are some tips for self-care during the pandemic:
