A huge recall from the company Procter & Gamble has been issued for their popular cleaning brands of Tide, Gain, Ace, and Ariel products.

The recall is due to defective packaging, although there have been no confirmed cases of injury, due to the packaging, the company is erring on the side of caution.

The dangers of ingesting "cleaning pods" have been around since 2012, with poison control centers documenting over 7000 incidents, according to Wikipedia.

The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) took notice and called the new form of soap delivery an emerging health risk. Procter & Gamble (among other companies) took action by developing different styles of packing and warning labels.

Around late 2017 and early 2018 the "Tide Pod Challenge" grew in popularity on the internet, where people would purposefully eat the cleaning product.

This recall is based around the packaging of the products from Procter & Gamble, how the bags might not properly seal and children could accidentally ingest the cleaning detergent.
