Have you missed going "junking" (checking out yard/garage sales) since the pandemic put the kibosh on just about everything we love to do in the Yakima Valley? Fear not! A "secret" 40+ family yard sale is happening this weekend in the little 'ol town of Moxee out in East Valley!

The (almost!) annual Moxee Community Yard Sale -- organized this year by Crossroads Community Church -- is scheduled for this Saturday, June 5th from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. As of this writing, there are already over 40 families/homes participating. Mind you, Moxee isn't a big town so it shouldn't be difficult to hit all of them and, hopefully, score some deals and find some treasures.

So, what makes it a "secret"? The locations of the individual sales wont' be released until Saturday morning for obvious reasons. (Pro tip: NOBODY likes "early birds"!)

The map of all of the sales can be accessed by getting permission to view it digitally or you can pick-up a printed copy of the map at Mugshotz Cafe` in Moxee (101 S. Rivard Rd.) on the morning of the sale.

The event is free of charge and open to anyone who wants to attend. No need to be a Moxee or East Valley resident.

This event seems to be just another sign that things are getting back to "normal", thank goodness. I KNOW some of you are yard/garage sale junkies so here's your official invitiation -- Come and hang out in my stomping grounds of Moxee this weekend!
