If you live in the East Valley area of Yakima, you may be hearing a lot of noise and loud booms in the next couple of weeks. Don’t panic, everything is okay!
A Notice From Moxee Police Department
In a social media post, the Moxee Police Department gave a heads-up to the community about upcoming training units at the Yakima Training Center.
“Residents may hear increased noise in the area over the next several days. The Yakima Training Center (YTC) has advised that Army units will be conducting live-fire training exercises from February 18 through February 27.”

The original notice from the Yakima Training Center adds:
“This is routine training conducted periodically to maintain a high level of readiness for the military personnel involved. We appreciate the support and understanding of the residents and community in the surrounding areas during this training.”
