Every week throughout the school year, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) names their student-athletes for "outstanding performances and impactful contributions in their communities."
This week, a standout performance by a Selah Vikings Senior Fastpitch Softball Pitcher gets the award.

For week #8 (April 7 - 13) of the Spring sports season, Sydney Wells was recognized for her stellar performance. From the WIAA website:
"In a conference doubleheader, Wells was 6 for 6 with three home runs, including a grand slam, a triple, a double, a single, four walks, and 11 RBI.  Selah won the games against Grandview to stay undefeated at 5-0.  The senior is also a 3.95 GPA student and takes AP classes."
