Over the weekend Sony/Marvel sent out a tweet that got Spidey fans around the world very excited!

Yes, the award winning "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" is getting a sequel! It's expected in theaters on April 8th, 2022! The first film featured many spider-men from across the different dimensions and comics such as Spider-Gwen (Ghost-Spider), Noir, Spider-Ham, Miles Morales, and of course Peter Parker among a few others. The after credits (spoiler alert) even showed Spider-Man 2099 interacting with Spidey from the 60's cartoons and meme fame. But one Spider-Man that was missing from the 2018 animated film was one "Italian Spider-Man"!

Who is Italian Spider-Man? Well, we'll let the trailer speak for it's self!

He was created in 2007 as a parody of Italian action–adventure films of the 1960s and 1970s. Alrugo Entertainment, an Australian film-making collective is responsible, and is not owned by Marvel/Disney (yet). So to answer the question, "will Italian Spider-Man be in Spider-Verse 2?" Probably not. But there is always hope!
