Many across the country are still trying to figure out what to make of such a head scratching performance from a Top 10 football team.

Folks in the Pacific Northwest already know what happened - they Couged It.

There was a lot of hype and anticipation heading into the showdown with then #5 USC for the Washington State faithful.

This last week the talk wasn't about Cal, but how awesome it would be to have an undefeated Apple Cup matchup this year.

"It will be the Pac-12 championship game," I said boastfully on the air on Friday morning.

So this Friday was the perfect trap game.

A reeling mediocre Cal team that had just lost three straight including last week's defeat at the hands of the Huskies just thumped the #8 team in college football.

Aside from the refs taking 14 points off the board in the first quarter, the Cougs really made nothing happen all night.

Missed field goals, Luke Falk cancelling his trip to New York City, and Coach Leach wandering the sidelines with his mouth open.

It was as ugly a sight you can see during primetime on ESPN.
