10 Things You Should Never Leave in Your Car in Washington Cold
The weather is getting warmer, but we’re not quite there yet, so I figured it was a good time to remind people what NOT to leave in their cars while it’s still cold out in Washington (and the same can be said when the weather gets really hot). Check out our list of 10 items you should never leave in your car during the cold (and hot) temperatures below.
My Costly & Explosive Mistake
My wife and I went shopping at 11 pm last Saturday night, and loaded up on our month’s worth of groceries. We purchased, we picked our jaws off the floor (due to the cost), and went and loaded our car.
We drove home, parked our car in the driveway, and proceeded to do the walk of shame into our house. The walk of shame, if you didn’t know, is when you have to make multiple trips from the car.
On the very last trip, there were two bags and two cases of Diet Dr. Pepper. I said forget it, since one of the cases was going to go to my work in the morning, and I left it in my car overnight.
Cold + Soda = Boom!
Yep, you guessed it, it got cold, below freezing, and that was enough for one can to explode, making a bigger mess than I originally wanted to deal with at 6 am the next morning when I noticed.
Luckily, being a diet soda, nothing got really sticky, but still, a wise man once said, common sense is hardly ever common, and this particular time it was me. I knew it was going to be cold, but I decided to roll those dice, and I won a mess. Yes, pop is on this list, but so are 9 other things you might want to think twice about before leaving in a cold car!
