Costco in Washington Tightens Rules on Animals in Stores
A stricter stance on rules about who can bring what into Costco stores is coming, which may make many angry, and others a little happy. Costco plans to start tightening up the leash when it comes to animals inside its warehouse stores.
The Good & Bad Of Costco
There are several pros and cons when it comes to a wholesale giant. How it treats its customers/members is a pro, and honestly, most of my cons come from other customers who seem to shop at the same time I do.
People letting their children run wild, not paying attention or using proper shopping etiquette while in the store, stopping at every little vendor to get their free sample, and blocking the aisles (side note, Costco, QUIT PUTTING the free sample people around the narrowest paths).
A Stricter Rule May Make Some Tails NOT Wag
Costco Wholesale stores throughout Washington are going to be getting more strict about animals being allowed into their buildings.
Service animals will still be allowed, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Members may ask if your animal is a service animal and what task or function it is trained to perform.

The rule that many may be upset with is that Emotional Support Animals may not be allowed into the store, as technically, they are NOT Service Animals, according to ADA.gov.
