You’ve heard of those stories about a random person getting a letter in the mail, and the next thing they know, they’re rich!

Yeah, those are just stories, told by Hollywood, just to give you a glimmer of hope.

Or are they just stories?

My brother and I were excited at first and then felt the weight of being landowners IN ARKANSAS!

Luckily (I’m trying to be positive), it turned out not to be the case. Other (distant) family members down south laid claim to the property, but for those 2 weeks or so, my family was in one of those stories.

Do You Wait Around For A Magic Property Letter In The Mail?

Since the dream of finding property unknown to you is not such a far-fetched dream, how can you find out?

According to a recent report from KIMA NEWS, Washington State has around $2.5 billion of unclaimed cash and property as of this month.

Is some of that unclaimed property yours? There’s a way to find out!

How To Find Out About Your Unclaimed Property!

The Unclaimed Property Manager of the Department of Revenue, Joe Gisler has been pointing people to the website ClaimYourCash.org.

The website is pretty easy to access and navigate. Full name, city, and zip code are all you need to search to see if you have unclaimed property.

Spoiler alert… I do not, but do you?
