You might have noticed the level of smoke has really increased over the last couple of days.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is warning people traveling near Cle Elum to be aware of closures. Many areas of the Okanogan-Wenatchee region are closed and evacuations are in place due to the increased threat by the Jolly Mountain Fire, north of Cle Elum.

Bear season is underway and hunters are scouting for deer and elk seasons, bringing out a lot of folks headed for the wrong areas.

"We ask that you stay off the roads within these closures to allow firefighters and emergency personnel to move safely," WDFW said on Facebook.
