The newly formed Yakima Canines indoor football team held a press conference this morning (Feb. 26) to sign a one-year agreement with State Fair Park to play their home games in the Yakima Valley SunDome.

On hand were Canines Owner and Head Coach Warren Reynolds, Co-owner and Defensive Coach Michael Foster as well as new Central Washington State Fair CEO Kathy Kramer. Members of the team were also available to answer questions about the American West Football Conference in which Yakima will be the fifth team along with squads from Reno, Wenatchee, Tri-Cities and Idaho.

This will be the third attempt at professional indoor/arena football in Yakima following one-year stints by the Yakima Shockwave and the Yakima Valley Warriors in 2001 and 2010, respectively.
