VIDEO: Dogs Get Toy Surprise at Yakima Humane Society

It is the little things that matter, and for a pet waiting for its forever home, something as simple as a little toy can mean the world! Check out the video below from the Yakima Humane Society as they attempted to make some tails wag, and their hallways squeak with the sounds of joy and toys.

It Warms And Breaks My Heart

I’m a huge animal lover (especially dogs), and when I see videos like the one below, I’m strong enough to admit that I smile, but I also get a tear in my eye.

Growing up in the Yakima Valley, we’d put my dog in its kennel, and we jokingly called it “Puppy Prison”, but for these dogs, waiting to be adopted, that’s what I’m sure it feels like for them. But kudos to the fine folks at the Yakima Humane Society for keeping spirits high and the barks bright with new toy day!
