Yakima Man Makes No-Bakes, Almost Burns House Down
Need a sweet treat for the next get-together (and yeah, there will be plenty of get-togethers in the near future), and you don’t want to spend a lot of time or money making something? Well, I have the perfect treat for you, so easy to make… I DID IT (with my wife’s managerial skills watching over me). And I have the step-by-step instructions below.
Previous Cooking Adventures Of Note
You may remember I have made a handful of other tasty desserts like my Dulce de Leche cupcakes and Lemon Bars, both with success. And here’s another baking attempt… with only 4 ingredients and no oven time, it’s hard to go wrong!
No-Bake Avalanche Cookies
Measure out 2 cups of Rice Krispies and some mini marshmallows into a large bowl. We measured marshmallows with our heart (but if you want a specific number, go with half a cup).
Put 16 ounces of white chocolate and a half cup of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds. Stir. Then repeat until it’s melted.
NOTE: Make sure it is a proper bowl, or else your wife will have words for you.
NOTE-NOTE: We moved it to the stove top, you'll find out why at the end of the article.
Pour melted peanut butter and chocolate on top of the cereal and marshmallows. Stir until evenly coated.
Line your counter or table (anywhere your pet can’t reach and that’s flat) with parchment paper.

Drop spoonfuls onto the parchment paper. (Again, make the cookies any size your heart desires).
Allow them to sit at room temperature until they harden. Or eat them with a spoon while they’re still warm and have your wife silently judge you… It’s your call.
