You never know all the people that are affected when you donate.

Whether it is money, time, a helping hand, or something even more important, something that can help give life.

Being an organ donor is one of the most selfless things you can do, especially in a sad situation where you’re not going to make it. Just think, the final act of your life could be saving someone else.

It doesn’t just save that person, but all of their friends, and family. I know this firsthand because one of my family members was saved with a heart transplant less than 10 years ago.

It brings a tear to my eye thinking how our family almost lost them, and we are so grateful to the doctors, nurses, and especially the donor who helped save a vital part of our family.

That’s why when Sarah Stover of Yakima reached out about a fundraising walk for the National Kidney Foundation, I took notice.

“I walk because too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.

I walk to support the life-changing work of the National Kidney Foundation.”

Sarah Stover.

Sarah will be participating in the National Kidney Foundation’s 2025 Phoenix Kidney Walk. She’ll be there to meet transplant survivors, those who have donated, and more importantly, share her story.

Fast-Food Fries - Ranked Healthiest to Unhealthiest

The best side dish for a burger is NOT coleslaw. If someone tells you that, walk away and go find a place that is serving up french fries.

"Healthy" and "French Fries" don't typically go together. It is common knowledge that although a fry is from a potato, it doesn't make it as healthy as a green, leafy salad.

If you are still reaching for a fry and now you are curious how "healthy" it really is, Cheapism did the research for you and ranked over 20 fast-food chains' fries from the healthiest to unhealthiest.
