I once saw a fast food’s reader board sign that said “Kids, start screaming till they turn around for ice cream!” To be honest, I do not remember if I saw that for real, or if it was a meme on line, but let’s just say, I tried it. My wife was not impressed with how loud I could yell!

It’s summer, it’s hot and it is only going to get hotter. So let’s chill down with some soft serve in a cone, frozen on a stick, or even all melted in a milkshake. Who knows, there’s even a legend that there is a milkshake so good, that when you drink it, boys will magically appear in your yard!

I don’t recommend getting that particular frozen treat, but these places are sure to cool you down when the Yakima Valley gets hot!

No matter the flavor you go for, the standards vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or the new norms of Chocolate Chip Mint, Peanut Butter, or Cookie Dough, you just can’t go wrong with ice cream. Unless you’re lactose intolerant, which if that is the case, thank you for your bravery in reading this article!

Before we get to Stacker’s list, I’d like to give a personal shout out to Ron’s Tacos and Burgers on the corner of 16th and Lincoln and Miner’s Drive-In on First Street. They both have never let me down when it comes to great ice cream!
