4th of July Do’s & Don’ts: American Flag Etiquette

Just read today that Ralph Lauren, Lucky Brand as well as a few other clothing manufacturers, are selling American Flag bikinis, however, according to U.S. Flag Code, “The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery.”

Damn.  There go all my flag pole jokes.

I suppose this goes for men's ties, hats and the like as well.  The flag is to be repected, not worn.  If you plan on flying Old Glory this Independence Day, make sure you are doing it properly so that you don't become "that guy".
