What Should Replace Burger Ranch on 1st Street in Yakima?
What could snag the spot left vacant by Burger Ranch’s closure? We have some thoughts, as do you guys. We’ll list them down below.
A Beloved Yakima Burger Joint Says Goodbye
After serving the Yakima Valley for over 48 years with amazing burgers, fantastic shakes, fries, and fry sauce second to none, when the 1st Street location of Burger Ranch closed its doors at the end of July, it left open a pretty sweet piece of real estate unoccupied along one of the busiest streets in Yakima.
What Could Take Over the Burger Ranch Location?
So what could go there? What would be a good fit for that location? Another fast food burger joint? Another place to get chicken? What about a place that specializes in desserts? Since we just lost Baskin-Robbins on Nob Hill, that might not be a bad idea.
What about another buffet, like the style of Old Country Buffet, Royal Fork, or King’s Table? I’m not sure that location would be big enough for that type of establishment, but we can keep hoping.
What about a different style of food? Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Italian?
Looking at these photos from Bobby Mendoza Jr., the restaurant has lots of potential.
We’ve racked our brains for some food possibilities and fast food places that would do well in that spot.
