Could this be the coolest car in Yakima?

Many would say 'no', and I'd ask them 'why?'

So what if it looks a little rough? That builds character!

I saw the car in question sitting in the parking lot in the Valley Mall Plaza, and I immediately laughed.

Not for any negative reason; the laughter came from happiness!

It reminded me of the 'Budget Batman' that was spotted driving on the freeway just outside Portland.

And oh yeah, that Budget Batman had his very own D.I.Y. Batmobile! (More on that story here).

The guy loves that car! It runs, it's paid for (I'm assuming), and insurance is probably affordable. Heck yeah! I'd love it, too!

So what if it has some body damage, and the hood isn't original or even the same color?

And who cares if the top luggage rack is a wood pallet? It serves its purpose!

Maybe the haters are just jealous because he owns two rides, the car and the bike on top.

And if you don't like seeing it driving down the road or parked next to your car, well, the makeshift hood ornament says it all!

Besides, I'd rather own this D.I.Y. automotive creation than a Cybertruck!

And no matter what you think of the car, at least he parked it in between the lines like a decent human being, unlike these people.
