How Many Dogs Can You Legally Own in Yakima?
Just to let you know, right upfront, so many people in the Yakima Valley are breaking this rule right now. Maybe they never knew, who knows. But a topic came up with how many is too many dogs. Well, with a quick bit of research, I was curious to know how many dogs one could legally own in Washington state. Here's what I found.
According to sidmartinbio:
No more than three small animals such as dogs and cats (unless your property is over 20,000 square feet) Up to eight domestic fowl (more for lots over 10,000 square feet) are allowed, but no roosters.
This information came from a Seattle-specific site as well thinking it may be Seattle-specific rule. Turns out you can have 4 in Spokane so that may be closer to what the official ruling is for Yakima county.
Just three, huh? Yeah, I know a few who have already broken that rule.
And, again, if you have a farm you're good. Just don't be like this dude in India who has 735 dogs. That's a lot of kibble!
