The OREO / Coke Mash-Up! Should Yakima Dunk?
If you haven't checked out the 'Timmy Tries' reviews for both of these products already, you might want to do so before you read the ultimate mash-up.
Or don't. Live your life, have fun, dunk a cookie in the drink without knowing what they each taste like first! Live on the edge!
In case you do: Cookie Review Here & Soda Review Here!
No need for a "Legal Disclaimer" since I doubt anyone would believe that someone would paid me to dunk a cookie in soda. Maybe a dentist needing more business would, but in either case, this is not an advertisement, but I should post this warning:
KIDS, GET PARENTS PERMISSION BEFORE DOING THIS, BUT YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T EVEN WITH PARENTS PERMISSION!
Oh, the joys of Pop Rocks and soda!
I poured the can into a glass, actually very happy that it looked the normal soda color.
"Oh, we're doing this then, huh?" - Eugene (taste test helper).
He grabbed the rest of the can not in the glass, popped a cookie in his mouth, and drank the soda.
He closed his mouth, shook his head like a bar drink 'Shaker' or 'Cement Mixer' and swallowed.
The cookie tasted the same except a little softer, and of course, the Pop Rocks started firing immediately.
The sweetness of the cookie drowned out any taste that the soda had (we drank more of the soda after swallowing the cookie).
Eugene said he got a slight hint of earwax taste. No comment on that.
I've dipped cookies in water, milk, chocolate milk, and now soda. I don't think I'll try soda again.
When I was little, I would dip my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in Pepsi, and that tasted great to an 8-year-old. Maybe I'll do that with an Uncrustable brand sandwich. MAYBE.
