Pay-Radio Costs More Feb 15 as SiriusXM is Raising Rates Again
Satellite service SiriusXM told its customers that the U.S. Music Royalty Fee is going up from 13.9%to 19.1% as of Feb. 15, so your subscription packages will also be going up in price.
SiriusXM is blaming a recent decision by the Copyright Royalty Board of the Library of Congress that ups the fees paid to composers, publishers, recording artists, musicians, and record labels.
Meanwhile, AM & FM radio remains FREE and always will.
