COVID-19 restrictions for the ski area mean the lodge is closed and masks are a requirement while in a chairlift line.

White Pass Ski Area General Manager Kevin McCarthy says COVID-19 restrictions will be in place on Friday

McCarthy says the bottom line is be flexible and be ready to work with the rules to keep the ski area open and COVID free.

The ski area is located in Lewis County not Yakima County.

If the ski area opens on Saturday, it'll be the same date the area opened last year -- Dec. 14.

When winter is on the way, most of us want some new stuff to play with -- which means it's time to trade in your old stuff. Most of the time, though, it is hard to get back the kind of cash that you spent just by putting it on Craigslist or Facebook. My snowboard was $900. That is a lot of cash, but I want something new now.
