“Weird Al” to get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

It's been a long time coming for our friendly neighborhood accordion rocking satirist. But from a tweet sent out on the 13th, it is confirmed. Something fans have agreed for a very long time, Al needs more cement stars!

Now some think that anyone can get a star, as long as you have $40,000. Not that simple, yes it does cost that much, but you also have to be doing your craft for at least 5 years, nominated, be chosen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame selection committee, and then show up in person (unless you're dead, then you have to be dead for 5 years). Al did all that, and the money was raised by his fans. Later this month, he'll have his own star on the Walk Of Fame. Now the challenge is to get him in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
