Look Inside Yakima’s New Comic Shop Filled With Yesteryear’s Comics!
I've said it once, and I'll say it again: we nerds and comic book fans are pretty spoiled in the Yakima Valley.
If you're a new collector, an old pro, or someone in the middle (like myself), we are in no shortage of places to get our comic fix.
Many cities, much bigger than ours, do not have a single comic shop or have to drive hours away just to get their latest issues of Batman or Spider-Man.
We have Central City Comics in Ellensburg, Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall in Thorp, Adventures Underground in Kennewick, and a handful of places right here in Yakima.
Ron's Coin & Collectables (6 N 3rd Street) is your one-stop shop for old and brand-new comics, with new books from the major publishers coming out every Wednesday.
Inside Flipper's Antiques (519 W Yakima Ave), we have 509 Retro, with a fair amount of books to peruse.
And now, Yakima can add another great source to the comics club, it's called Yakomix, located at 1404 Fruitvale Blvd.
Yakomix prides itself on being "Yakima's Premiere Discount Comic Book Emporium", and they have the books to back it up.
Specializing in 'back issues' (older comics) from the 2010s, 2000s, 90s, 80s, and even older (I picked up a Detective Comic from November 1975) from DC, Image, and Marvel Comics.
If you need to fill a hole in your collection or are looking to dip your toe into the fun world of collectible storytelling (remember, comics inspired all those Super Hero movies), it is so awesome that Yakima has another source to go to indulge in the comic collecting cravings.
Take a look inside this new nerdy hang!
