So in case you missed some of the news this past week, long story short, allegedly, petitioners were being unruly while trying to get support and signatures, Yakima's mayor called emergency services to deal with it. People on both sides of the political aisle have strong opinions. You can read more on the story here and here, oh and here.

I use the word "allegedly" above, because I wasn't there, I can not speak to the accusations. What I can say with 100% accuracy is, while shopping this past week, I experienced people asking me to sign their petitions (left and right leaning issues) and I said no thank you to each one, and was met with nothing but courtesy. If the particular petitioners in question were not behaving properly, hopefully they'll realize their actions and how they're presenting themselves are just hurting their own cause.

So, I started brainstorming different ways to get out of those situations, and I came up with a list. Keep in mind, these are for entertainment purposes, do not pertain exclusively for petitioners, and my possibly offend someone, and were written in good fun, since I personally do not have a "dog in the hunt" on this subject (as you'll understand more with #10's Tip).
