What is ‘Chainsaw Cat’? The New Business Going In On Yakima Ave.
It was a sad day on December 10th of 2022, when Drink’n Games announced on their Facebook page that they would be closing their doors. “It’s not easy for us but unfortunately tonight will be our last night in business. It’s been a hell of a ride and we have had some of the best times of our lives and met the best people along the way but being in business through a pandemic and now a recession.. it’s been hard to say the least.”
UPDATE: THE CHAINSAW CAT'S GRAND OPENING!
6 Months later, it looks like that spot at 509 W Yakima Ave. will finally get a new lease on life! Bobby Mendoza Jr. Shared this picture of a “Public Notice” on the door of the former arcade bar.
So now, we have a couple questions. What is ZASU LLP and what is Chainsaw Cat? Both sound pretty awesome. I reached out to the business's registered agent for any type of info, but at the time of this writing, have yet to hear back.

Bobby also noticed a couple of Instagram posts by local musician and promoter, appearing to do some work on the inside of the establishment. What could this new Chainsaw Cat be?
I have reached out to Abiel Hoff (above videos) to see if he has any official involvement with the new business, but once again, as of this writing, I have not heard anything back. Until we get some more info, the best I can find when searching google for Chainsaw Cat, is several amazing memes & cosplay!
Until something more concrete comes along, we just get to have fun speculating on what the future of that location will be. A new type of bar, or music venue like The Lair or The Zone, perhaps a marijuana dispensary, strip club, a pet grooming place that sales liquor? (Chainsaw Cat would be a pretty cool name for a boozy pet salon). What do you think it's going to be? What do you think SHOULD go there? Tap the App and let us know!
