A couple of weeks ago I pondered out loud as to whether or not a fried chicken war had broken out in my little town of Moxee in East Valley.

You see, it was just about a month and a half ago that the Chester's Chicken franchise had moved in to the Moxee Market. I gave it a try and you can read my initial reaction to it here.

It was just a few weeks later that a brand new Super 7 convenience store opened its doors in my hometown and it was touting still yet another fried chicken franchise. This time, COOPER'S Chicken.

In the effort of equal time, I decided to give it a try as well to let you know how it tasted. (Seriously, as if I needed an excuse to hunker down on some fried chicken!)

My wife, son and I stopped in after one of my boy's Junior Varsity baseball games and got it to go. We brought it home and all chowed down.

When it was all done, I was certainly full and none went to waste but I don't think it would be fair of me to compare the two just yet exactly as we got the last of the food that had been prepared that day before being closed down for the night.

We will definitely be making a return trip to get some more chicken tenders, jo-jos and mac and cheese when they are more freshly made to give it a true rating.

Stay tuned!
