Yakima Health District officials are working with staff and residents of three long term care centers in Yakima, Union Gap and Toppenish where officials say 36% of the cases of COVID-19 cases have been reported.
No outbreaks have been reported in any other place in the county.
27 people 80 years old or older have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
There are now 289 cases of COVID-19 with 7 deaths in Yakima county. 16 people are hospitalized 25 were previously hospitalized.
The largest group of people with the virus? 45 people between the ages of 60 and 69-years-old have the virus. The next largest group 44 people between the ages of 40 and 49-years-old.
6 people 19-years-old or under also have COVID-19 in Yakima County.
Health district officials say they're testing is focusing on the three long-term-care facilities.
