Another Chance At Redemption?!?

When I talk about another chance at redemption, I’m not talking about one of the teams that lost last year during the giant basketball tournament; I’m talking about my own personal ball that helps me in sports. The Magic 8-Ball!

The last time I talked about my device of the dark arts, it was me throwing it away in the garbage!

How The Magic 8-Ball Failed Us In Yakima

I say it failed me, but I had many friends who messaged me during Super Bowl LX, flipping me crap and chewing out the Magic 8-Ball. It predicted that the Seahawks would lose the big game. And it was DEAD SET on its decision. (You can read that article here).

But everyone likes a redemption story, and I decided to give my little oracle buddy one more shot at sports predictions with the 2026 Million Dollar Bracket Challenge.

Why & How Did The Magic 8-Ball Make Its Picks?

The why at a 2nd chance is simple… I didn’t have enough time to use my Tarot Cards as I suggested in my previous article. Otherwise, the tournament might have had more grim outcomes.

How I made my choices with the Magic 8-Ball was a little different from previous years. In previous years, I started from Top to bottom, left to right, with each of the teams, going round by round. Asking, will this team defeat that team? If the Magic 8-Ball gave me an “Ask again later” type answer, I’d move on to the next team.

This time, I decided on an all-or-nothing approach. With our Bracket Challenge, there’s an automatic bracket fill-out randomly. I asked my Magic 8-Ball if that would be a good idea.

So I hit the button, the bracket randomly filled out, and now I will be watching the leaderboards like many of you to see how everything goes, and if the Magic 8-Ball was right with how it guided me.
