KATS CONCERT REPORT: Halestorm in Idaho Falls!
I saw my cousin Sam Tilley post pictures about her trip to see one of the bands that she loves, Halestorm! So I started chit-chatting with her, and before we knew it, I was like, wow, this is going to be a concert report for KATS! She laughed, "Sure, for what little we got to see!"
So Halestorm and Volbeat are out doing a co-headlining tour, and this past Wednesday night (July 26th) their tour stopped at The Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sam was stoked, met up with her friends and traveled from Portland, Oregon to see a kick ass show!
What they got instead, was a lot of heat, a lot of malfunctions, and a 2 hour wait after the doors were to have already been opened!
"The place actually was 2 hours late letting everyone in and we missed part of Halestorm just getting in. Cause they were @$$holes! So the whole experience was disappointing!"

From the way she tells it, it almost seems like it was the venue's first concert ever! The ticket reader malfunctioned with the digital tickets, and some people waited to get physical tickets printed at the box office, only to not have the scanners work on those. The workers attempted to pass blame for the late start on technical difficulties (alluding to the bands), but fans heard Halestorm start playing while they were still waiting outside the venue... an hour and half after the original start time. (Luckily, my cousin was able to get in shortly AFTER the band took the stage).
When my cousin finally did get in, they played a great few songs including: Love Bites, I Miss The Misery, Wicked Ways, The Steeple and a drum solo! I asked for more details, but she couldn't give much more:
"I'm sorry, I'm so brain dead, sunburned, and mosquito bit from standing in line so much, we're all still recovering!"

When Volbeat came out, they immediately thanked everyone for their patience and apologized for the "malfunction" and "technical issues" that they had no control over. They stayed for a handful of songs, but after Lola Montez, and all the heat and non-excitement of the day, they had to pack it in.
