Smoke’s So Thick It’s Become a Traffic Hazard — Like Fog
That apocalyptic air we've been seeing since Sunday morning? Yeah, it really is that bad. And not just for your lungs.
The picture above -- of Vernita Bridge late Sunday afternoon -- probably tells you all you need to know. But here's here's something else you should know, from the Yakima Valley Office of Emergency Management:
"With visibility less than 1/2 a mile in some areas throughout the Pacific Northwest please treat it like fog and #drivetoarrive."
So watch the road carefully -- or better yet, stay inside and don't do any needlessly heavy breathing until this crap clears out ...
