What did you do on your phone yesterday?

I did what a lot of people do: goofed off.

Of course, I did use it for work a little. I checked my email and the calendar for the upcoming week, but that was all.

How did I goof off? Oh, you know, the usual stuff:

I spent money I shouldn’t have by finishing up and completing my collection of the 2003 Superman / Batman comic series on eBay.

I discovered music on YouTube from Puddles Pity Party.

I won an online argument (in my head) on Facebook.

I bought new ink cartridges on Amazon.

Doom scrolled through my news apps.

I watched cooking videos dealing with Meatloaf.

And, of course, I looked at other websites that people probably shouldn’t admit to visiting (hey, it was research to see if my own Only Fans page could be successful).

You know, the usual stuff.

What do I plan on doing on my phone today?

Not nearly as much because Sunday is my “phone day,” and apparently, it is the same for a majority of Washington residents.

A recent survey by HostingAdvice.com, which polled over 3,000 Americans about their phone habits, revealed more details about how people spend their screen time and what apps they play on the most.

Washington (along with 13 other states) found Sunday is the best day to kick back and zone out on the little screen. The most alarming part of their study is how long we are on our phones on average.

Washington clocked in roughly 8 hours and 17 mins of daily screen time.
Are we that bad in Washington?

The only state worse than us for screen time was Arizona (which makes sense since it is boring there).

The average amount of screen time across the entire U.S. is 6 hours and 35 minutes.

So what do we do on our phones for that much time? The main culprit across the board... TikTok!
