7 Chinese Restaurants in Yakima That’ll Make Your Mouth Water
The debate started as my wife and I discussed the upcoming holidays and dinners. Sure we have all of the typical family obligations and the food that comes with those. You know, the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and the little less traditional Christmas dinner, but usually, you can expect the same types of food on both occasions. Turkey, for one, and some kind of roast or ham for the other (at least with our families).
Then we started talking about what we wanted to do after the family stuff was done. Sure enough, the topic of “2nd Dinner” came up. At the same time, we were approaching the end of A Christmas Story. In the film, Ralphie & family (spoiler alert for an almost 40-year-old movie) decided to go out for dinner on Christmas after the neighbor’s dogs destroyed their turkey. The family enjoyed what many fans of the film have affectionately called “Chinese Turkey” at the “Bo’ Ling Chop Suey Palace” restaurant. Widely known fact that was new to me until last week, the restaurant at the end of A Christmas Story is only called “Bo’ Ling” because it’s a neon Bowling sign with the W burned out. A Christmas Story settled the matter, 2nd Dinner was decided, and we will enjoy Chinese food. But from where?
