In the battle of best burger places, I keep hearing two names that rise above most -- In-N-Out and Whataburger. Though I've never tried Wataburger, I did finally get a chance to try an In-N-Out Burger.

My thoughts on it? It was mediocre. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't as great as it could have been.

Now we're spoiled because we have our own burger options. I'm used to burgers like a Big Miner, Lariat burgers and more. The burgers at In-N-Out just didn't have that extra something. Not sure what.

To be fair, I'm not from California, so I don't have the nostalgia for this place as most of us do for places in our town. I'm sure that weighs heavy with some people.

I will say they were very organized. They took my order quickly, got my order quickly. They even had someone taking orders by walking down the chain of cars to keep it moving quicker. That was a nice, personal touch. But I've seen Miner's do this on more than one occasion, too.

Not to say it wouldn't be successful if we did get an In-N-Out Burger in Yakima, but we have so many other great burger options that it'd be just another option. Again, not bad, just won't be making my top five anytime soon.
