You've heard about them everywhere in pop culture. Escape Rooms and Scavenger Hunts that test your wits and intelligence! Sometimes their portrayal is poked fun at and turned into a parody like in Beavis & Butthead, Harley Quinn, Saturday Night Live, Portlandia (just to name a few). The "no escape" game scenarios have taken a darker tone as well. The horror films like The Cube, House of Haunted Hill, Saw, and of course, Escape Room, have made people dread the gumshoe enclosures! However you feel, they are a challenge, and a fun one at that!

In the Yakima Valley, some would joke that there's "NO ESCAPE!", and for those of you who really believe that, I remind you of the words of wisdom from Ryan Reynolds as Van Wilder:

"Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive." - Van Wilder

For the rest of us, that can find fun, know where to look, and can deduce the clues to ESCAPE and WIN, we do have an escape room! One that's a fixture in our community, and a couple that will be coming to the valley soon!

Escape The Madness!

The fine folks who put on Mad Hatter's Haunt have Yakima Valley's original escape room, which started back in 2016! Escape The Madness offers several different themes and is a great escape (pun intended)! Fun for friends and family, or even team building exercise! Coming to Yakima in September, this isn't just an escape room, but a interactive scavenger hunt!
